Do you use BT Broadband (or another ISP) that doesn't supply an Outbound (SMTP)
email service?
Having trouble sending email when you are away from the office? Need to send
large emails which are blocked by your ISP? Then you need our SMTP relay service!
Fantastic
features
works with any ISP
No limits on email size sent
Use from any where at any time (even when away
from the office)
Use with any number of email
addresses
Still works even if your
ISP blocks port 25 (the 'normal' port for sending email) as our system also
works on port 225
How does this service work?
When you send an email, your email program (e.g. Microsoft Outlook) will connect to our server to send the email. Our server is able to authenticate you using
the user name and password we supply when you sign up, rather than on the basis of where you are connecting from, so
you can use our outgoing mail server regardless of how you connect to the internet.
Thus, our service is ideal if you regularly travel, or if you use a broadband connection that has unreliable (or even non-existent) outgoing mail facilities.
You are not limited to sending mail from just one email address either. The service operates by giving each person a user name and password. You
input these into your email client, eg Microsoft Outlook. When it connects to us, it uses these details to authenticate you as a user. If you then want to send email from different
email address altogether, you just set your email client up appropriately.
To use our service, your email program should support "smtp-authentication".
Almost all popular
email programs do support this feature (eg Outlook, Netscape etc). If you are
